A Good Christian Character

A Good Character consists of these traits:

Honesty-truthful and fair in dealing with others

      Integrity-is moral or ethical strength

Wisdom-the ability to apply knowledge correctly

Courage-the will to apply knowledge correctly

Steadfastness-the ability to stay the course

Endurance-the ability to stay with a task to completion

Integrity is especially revealed in dealings that test steadfastness to truth, purpose, responsibility, or trust.

A good character is the combination of emotional, intellectual, and moral qualities that distinguishes an individual from his peers.

Good character  is all about improving your personal moral values to advance to a more desirable state. Whatever your emotional, intellectual, or moral condition is now, it can be improved when you can better understand God's commandments in the Holy Bible. God's righteousness defines high moral living that creates a good life, one lived according to God's standard, not man's.

The foundation of a good Christian character will carry you farther and higher than anything else. Your worth is measured in heaven not on earth. Your true riches are residing within you when you have a good Christian character. That good character is part of the fruit of the spirit that controls you good decisions and actions in life.

Your reputation is the publics estimation of who you are as an individual. How you are differentiated from those around you, what qualities set you apart from others.

When the principles you live by are of a high caliber, you are respected, and it adds value to others estimation of what you can deliver.

When you haven't been taught good, sound principles, you might stray following companions of low morals that lead you down the wrong road. You stumble, and fall into satan's snare, and become overwhelmed by what the majority around you are indulging in. And in following their actions you lose sight of even the potential of what you might have become.

Sin is the opposite of righteousness, and sin creeps into ones life to overthrow them in many ways. Sin defeats the goodness of what God has to offer people. Sin, casts one down unto they fall deeper and deeper down into the dark world of sin.

It takes Christians with a good character and a heart of love, with forgiveness to pray for people who are battered and bruised by sin, without judging, and condemning them. To love them as they are when they come to them, and lead them to Jesus Christ, who is the only one who can rescue them from a living hell.

It pays to choose associates of a higher caliber to associate with, to choose your companions well, because that will protect you from following the wrong crowd, the ones that pull you down with them. Never look down on others, just look up to the Lord, and be good and kind to everyone, just like Jesus did while he lived on earth.

The most valuable thing you can do for yourself to improve your character is found in the word of God.

The Holy Bible was written for our benefit, to live a holy and righteous life. It is the inspired word of God, that is filled with the highest moral principles that has ever been written.

Apostle John is speaking to the church concerning their sincerity, hospitality, and Christian character. The prosperity he's speaking of pertains to the health, spiritual growth and

spiritual joy.

3 John 2-3

(2) Beloved, I with above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

(3) For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.

The greatest prosperity we can have is to have a good Christian character. Our conversation will confirm all our moral values, and our actions will validate the principles we live by.

When our strong moral foundations is laid, and experienced, we will then be able to move on toward establishing relationships and business. When we have our strong moral foundation we are ready to improve, grow and succeed in our endeavors.

Your strength of character will determine how you begin your business, and how you will relate to your partners and customers. It is the strong foundation upon which all long-lasting prosperity exists.

Yes, many shady characters has made a lot of money, but their wealth doesn't bring them happiness, or results that is replicated by others.

Your honesty, and integrity is what your associates can depend on, to create the synergy (shared energy) that will establish strong relationships.

One of the greatest accomplishment in life is to be respected by your associates. It enriches your life, even before you are rich.

There are many people in God's kingdom who don't have financial wealth. But they are very rich in heavenly riches, they have complete faith in Jesus Christ, and are thriving in the goodness of God. They have the ability to love fully with a pure holy love. They are considerate, caring and dependable enough to support you in prayer, and will safely guard your shared confidences when you talk to them. When life is assaulting you like the fury of a hurricane, they will be there for you.

The people of God who have loved, counseled, and prayed for you, there is no charge. They gave their all to you from their good Christian character, and will always be there for you as a friend. True love, has no charge.

True Christian Love comes from a heart filled with the cleansing of the word of God, filled with God's love from their mature relationship with the Lord in prayer, that love of God flowing through a Christian to you, is priceless.

In the Beatitudes of Christ in his sermon on the mount, they begin with:

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:3

That humility doesn't seem like the same character we see in those successful in business. We act as if everyone in business has the same kind of morals and attitudes, but thankfully there are still those who are honest and upright in their dealings with others.

The better life you seek to accompany your wealth, is rooted in all the character traits that people see and value in your life. Your strength of character gives you a stronger foundation for not only yourself, but to all you do business with, in every level of your business.

Wealth is not the major measurement for the merit of your life. Character is what will make people remember you long after you are gone. Wealth is a wonderful extension of a highly developed mind, spirit, and a good character.

Remember, it's more to be desired to be spiritually wealthy in the righteousness of God, than to have financial wealth. But if you are blessed with financial wealth don't forget the poor.

When you are blessed of God, bless those around you, when you see them in great need, for that's what your loving Lord has always done for you.

A good character can be as strong in a poor person as one with wealth. The Lord hears and answers all his children's prayers, because all his children are equal in Jesus Christ's heart of love.

The following are scriptures pertaining to the character traits desired for all the children emphasized in the word of God.

Honesty

Romans 12:17-Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide all things honest in the sight of all men.

Romans 13:8- Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

Job 31:4-6

(4) Doth not he (God) see my ways, and count all my steps?

(5) If I have walked with vanity, or if my foot hath hasted to deceit;

(6) Let me be weighed in an even balance, that God may know mine integrity.

Psalms 7:89-The Lord shall judge the people: judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.

Psalms 25:21-Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.

Psalms 26:1-Judge me, O Lord: for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the Lord; therefore I shall not slide.

Proverbs 11:3-The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.

Wisdom

True wisdom-the fear of God constitutes true wisdom

Job 28:28-And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

Experience augments wisdom

Job 32:7-I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.

The supreme acquisition is wisdom

Proverbs 4:7-Wisdom is the principle thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Wisdom apprehends divine truth

Hosea 14:9-Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? Prudent, and he shall know them? For the ways of the Lord are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.

Wisdom lays and immovable foundation

Matthew 7:24-Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock.

2 Timothy 3:15-And that from a child thou hast known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Wisdom is full of spiritual fruit

James 3:17-But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peacable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality (prejudiced, biased), and without hypocrisy, (deception, pretense).

Courage

Deuteronomy 31:6-Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee ; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Philippians 1:28-And in nothing terrified by your adversaries; which is to them and evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.

Steadfastness

Job 11:14-15

(14) If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles.

(15) For then shalt thou lift up thy fact without spot; yea, thou shalt be steadfast and shalt not fear.

I Corinthians 15:58-Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the LOrd, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

I Thessalonians 3:8-For now we live, if ye standfast in the Lord.

I Thessalonians 4:1-Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.

Phlippians 1:27-Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

2 Peter 3:17-Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.

Endurance

Matthew 24:12-14

(12) And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

(13) But he that shall endure until the end, the same shall be saved.

(14) And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

I Peter 1:25-But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

Hebrews 12:7-If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

James 1:12-Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

James 5:11-Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the endo of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful and of tender mercy.

Job 17:9-The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.
