Prayer Power

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Matthew 26:41

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching

there unto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

Ephesians 6:18

The power of prayer shows that Christian's sincerely believe that God's power is supreme or superior (higher in rank, station, or authority, of great value or excellence; extraordinary) in everything. Christians know that human power, and the power of the enemy, is always inferior (lower in order, degree, or rank. Lower in quality, status, or estimation. Substandard) in all it's expressions of power.

Prayer is very personal, it's a conversation between the believer, and Jesus Christ, who is our personal God. He hears every prayer when it is prayed sincerely from the heart. "And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:13

The reason we need God in our life is that we need someone greater than ourselves to help us in time of need. We need to be able to take all our concern, cares and needs to our God who will very capably handle everything in a more superior way than human flesh is capable of doing.

When we can turn loose of the difficulty and totally give it into the hands of God, that surrender of the problem to Jesus Christ, is counted as faith for us. We can then wait, and see how much more superior God's answer to our prayer will take care of the situation, than we could ever deliver.

We can literally, "stand still and see the salvation of the Lord," When our prayer is answered, it builds your faith, the faith of others who lifts your request up to the Lord in prayer with you, and it helps all those to whom it is told to as a testimony, of what Jesus Christ can do for all who believe in prayer. Answered pray builds up everyone's faith.

The Power of United Prayer

"Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Matthew 18:19,20

The love of Jesus Christ's children, comes together in a very special way when they come together in prayer, they are lifting up their voices together in full faith for one thing, to Jesus Christ, their Powerful God. They come together "in one mind, and one accord" so when the answer comes they rejoice together, as the body of believers, Jesus Christ called them to be. The grace of God not only renews our relationship with Jesus Christ, but also with other people, as well.

"The true marks of united prayer are given to us in the words of our Lord. The first is agreement as to the thing asked. "If two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask..." You are not to just consent to pray, and not pray. You are to agree in spirit and in truth in order to pray earnestly in behalf of the special request presented to you, and expect an answer.

The second mark is the agreement in prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, the recognition of power in the name of Jesus Christ.

The love and unity of the Lord's disciples that have infinite attraction to Jesus. "Where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them." It is the living presence of Jesus, in the fellowship of His loving, praying disciples, that gives united prayer it's power.

The third mark is, the sure answer: "It shall be done for them of my Father."  ~  Andrew Murray

All prayer should be entered into with the confidence that Jesus Christ hears our prayers.

We tend to pray, and pray the same prayers over, and over again, never truly knowing whether our prayers were heard or not. We must wait upon our prayer the same way we wait upon the move of the Holy Spirit, before we preach and teach. Our prayer must be full of faith in our Lord, and in the particular way we ask him, it must be lined up with his will.

When we pray "in spirit and in truth" we have the faith foundation to our prayers necessary to secure the special answer to prayer.

The conditions of a successful prayer contains the following:

Contrition

"if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14

When we come to the Lord in absolute surrender of the problem we are placing in his capable hands, we are truly recognizing Jesus Christ as the Son of  God, and that his power exceeds our frail and feeble attempts at producing the super abundant power that can only come from the One True God. When we can really humble ourselves before God, we are entering into the presence of God expecting an answer. And we will see that prayer answered at some point in the future.

Whole-heartedness

"And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:13

Whole-heartedness means you are very sincere when you pray. You are not, just repeating a mono-toned prayer, without any true connection to the prayer or Jesus Christ to whom you are praying. You know you are talking one-on-one with God, as you pray for yourself or someone else, and you mean every word you say when you pray.

Faith

"Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." Mark 11:24

When we fully accept the Lord's absolute power in all things, we will see miracles come to pass. We will see all our prayers answered in marvelous ways.

Righteousness

"Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." James 5:16

Obedience

"And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight." I John 3:22 To obey the Lord, means we love him, reverence him, and know him, as our Saviour and King. We want him to reign, and rule, over our heart and life, and in our acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord, we obey him, because we love him.

Can you image the prayer power of millions of Christians from around the world, when they finally come together as the Lord intended into one body of believers in Jesus Christ? When all those millions of Christians begin to seriously seek the Lord, to send the last Great Revival, to pray for all the souls to be saved that will come to him from every nation on earth.

When Christians begin to say, Here I am Lord send me! When they begin to be moved by the power of God, to move completely in harmony with the word of God, and the Holy Spirit to wait upon His move and refuse to settle for human being inferior ideas, but wait upon the Lord very humbly in prayer for our Great God to move in his childrens behalf.  When through prayer we see our God fight our battles in his last victorious outpouring of His Holy Spirit, to move in the most miraculous way we've ever seen.

Did you really think the last things Christians would see on this earth was only the dark deeds of Satan's people, and his demons? Know this the Great God you are serving is well able to conquer the foe at any moment, but he wanted the world to see the results of the sin they so fatally desired over the righteousness of God, to see what evil, and devastation it created, all because they rejected the goodness of God, his pure and holy ways.

Justice has always demanded penalties for law-breakers and rewards for those who choose to obey the laws of God.

The goodness of God, is now and will be triumphant over all the power of the enemy. The good news of the gospel is simply this, Our good God, and His Love wins out over all the wickedness of the enemy.

The Church Triumphant will be made ready for the last Great Revival, they will minister to all those who will be lead to the Lord before His return. Jesus Christ will show his Great Power, in his last Great hour after the Lord pours out his Spirit upon his true Church, we will celebrate his return. Expect to see the greatest power of God ever seen on earth.

Why? Because Jesus Christ will show the world how he blesses his people with love and favor, he will make believers out of all who are meant to believe in Jesus Christ. He will prepare his people to watch and pray, until he surprises everyone and calls us home to heaven.

All of this happens when we obey and come together from all nations to pray as one, united in prayer for Jesus Christ to pour out his Spirit on all his children!
